We can scan from any 35 mm film (positive or negative) using a Nikon Coolscan 5000 scanner at a maxim resolution of 4,000 dpi true optical resolution.

The Nikon SUPER COOLSCAN 5000 ED is the choice for professional photographers who demand quality. Boasting a true optical resolution of 4,000 dpi and 16 bit A/D conversion, the 5000 ED provides amazing image quality. Optional adapters enhance productivity further by enabling the automatic scanning of mounted slides and uncut rolls of film. The features, quality, and speed found here make the SUPER COOLSCAN 5000 ED ideal for imaging professionals needing quality scans.

When scanning, the Super Coolscan uses Digital ICE4 Advanced™ technology. In a nutshell it:

  • removes dust, scratches and fingerprints from scanned images;
  • recreates and restores faded color values for vivid, faithfully rendered images;
  • equalizes image grain for sharp, clear images with no clumping or graininess;
  • helps reveal details lost in shadows and highlights.
  • This method is perfectly acceptable for the vast majority of slides and negatives

    However, for badly scratched or very dusty items, each slide/negative will benefit from being processed individually. As you can imagine, this is an extremely time consuming process and so, reluctantly, we have to add £1 per image to the prices below. We will only go ahead with this if you request it. 1 to 50 60p each 51 to 150 50p each 151 to 250 45p each 251 to 500 40p each 501 to 1000 30p each More than 1000 25p each

    Scans can be performed and saved in TIFF, BMP, or jpg formats. [For further information please refer to our 'Explanation Of Formats' page.]

    Digital images are supplied on a 16GB Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 USB 3.0 flash drive memory stick, for which there is a charge of £7.50.

    For normal scanning, the image is processed once at 4000 dpi.

    For the absolute in quality, each image can be scanned 16 times. For this there is an additional £3 per image on top of the above prices.

    Please note that there is a minimum charge of £20.

    P&P is charged at cost.
